No. We do not have a china requirement. (Honestly we love many of the beautiful and affordable disposable options available today! I can't even count how many times we have had a sample of these at the venue and touring couples didn't even know they were disposable until they touched them!)
No, you’re not required to use a caterer from our Select List, but we encourage it. Our Select List caterers are trusted partners who are familiar with our venue, meet our standards for service and food quality, and comply with all health and safety regulations. Choosing a listed caterer helps ensure a seamless and consistent dining experience for you and your guests.
If you choose a caterer not on our Select List, they must be a licensed and insured full-service caterer, approved by The Legacy at Willow Pond. Full-service catering includes menu planning, food preparation, delivery, setup, serving staff, bartending, table settings, and cleanup.
Before signing a contract with an outside caterer, please contact us with their contact information. We will provide them with a checklist of requirements that must be agreed to and signed as part of the approval process. If you hire one not on our list, we do require additional documents along with a small additional fee.
- Yes, you may bring in your own alcohol for your event, but you will need to obtain a 1-Day Virginia ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) license and provide a copy to the venue in advance. All alcohol must be served by licensed and TIPS Certified bartenders.
- Alternatively, you may choose to use your caterer’s bar package if they hold a valid Virginia ABC license and provide TIPS Certified bartenders. This is a convenient option that ensures all alcohol service meets local laws and venue requirements.
